Team Green LSD review
Thursday, July 21, 2005 11:07 AM
Huge thanks to Brian for saving me some $$$ over the Phantom Grip LSD insert... I bought his for $200 USD instead... took the getrag tranny (before the swap) and had it installed, cost me $250 (Canadian) but I also had the axle seals and the main seal replaced..

Now that the motor and clutch are broken it, I've started ripping on it... the wheels FINALLY spin together, handling in the corners is amazing, it powers thru them like mad... I love it!!

Definitely a worthwhile upgrade... thanks Brian

How does the insert feel when it engages, does the car lurch or clunk as the lsd locks, or is it transparent. I have a friend with a locker in his jeep, and it lurches all over the place when driving in a parking lot, I just want to make sure that this feels more streetable.

Lockers and LSD inserts are worlds apart, this is transparent.

Email him and ask for one. O yea, they rock. I had one in the old car. Seen it in action on one of team green's cars. Killer traction.

Thanks for the Review Lenko!!!!! and your welcome. (you too Smokey)

Right now we are out of stock on them, waiting for the plates to get finished up, and a order of springs to come in. Once I have more here, and ready, I'll put the Classified add back up, and a link in my sig. (unless a Mod tells me otherwise...... Ron?)

oh yea..... I have a 3spd auto and a 4spd auto sitting here...... that I need to tear apart, and design one to fit them. It might be awhile yet before it gets done, but its on the 'to-do' list.

The one I bought only works with the 00+ getrag (5 speed).

After installing the GM supercharger... and taking it for a spin today.... HOLY CRAP!!!

Is this a worthwhile mod?? HELL YEAH!!!!!!

I have traction issues... need new tires

So john.... would you recommend this for someone with umm... a supercharged 3800 V6 in their cavalier?

What about Quaife??? Noone likes those?? I just had mine done and both tires spin a little since the clutch is not broken in yet, so I chirpped the tires getting used to the flywheel.

Supercharged guy, get a Quaife take off your fenders and put a 26 inch SLICK on the Cavy, that is what I am gonna do, with my diff.
Naw I am going with 24.5. jk on the 26.

It fits both the Isuzu and Getrag....... Lenko is the first to have our's in the Getrag trans. (that I know of at least) We've had 7+ of them in Isuzu trans's........

$200 vs. $1300........ you decide. Dont get me wrong, I'd love a Quaife....... but so many other things cost less at this point.

Hey Brian, Its Craig from the old days of JBR and sam's Rockford Meets. Are you going to design an LSD for the older Getrags? IE the HM282? Im pretty sure you would have a nice market if you came out with this part. I'd be willing to buy and test one out for ya.

yes, selling them in batches. I'm trying to get 10 made up this time (last 2 batches been 4 units each)

not sure yet it if will fit, loki and Graig....... I have a '92 GTZ trans sitting here too...... it needs some work, so while I've got it apart, I'll see if I can get it to fit....... or design one to fit.
