Just ordered mine today! Can't wait to see what it does.
Anyone have copied of BIll's original pictures? They don't seem to be showing up and I'm installing it this weekend.
hey i want to see pics on how to install this but these pictures are gone or they dont work any more??

Check LittleBill's profile. He has a detailed description of the install.
Does that pretty much sum it up for 2.4l's also?
hey what engine codes are people throwing with there shift kit, i have had mine for about 2 years now and just started throwing 2 tranny codes a couple weeks ago when i got my car out, so i turned it from 2 to off and it stopped throwing them i wanna make sure there nothing super bad one is p0748 and the other is p1810, the one is fro the pressure control stolonide and im not sure what the other is, thanks.
2nd setting usually sets off codes. I only turn it on for quarter mile runs at the track. Putting the Shift+ in 1st setting will not throw codes.
I got the same ones as you, can't remember the descriptions tho.
1 or 2,never threw any codes,1 is good for daily driving

i always left mine is the second setting i thought it was kinda strange that after like a year in the second setting it just now decided to throw a code, i guess thats my cars way of tellin me to change my tranny fluid, what is everyone else with the shiftplus using, i was thinkin about going with b&m trickshift
since aftermarket mounts are a good idea, is the rksport upper insert just as good?
I take back what I said in previous posts about not having problems with my ShiftPlus, today I put it on 2 and it seemed to shift alot less firm than 1 and I've had it on 1 since I got it.Stage 1 has shifted pretty hard since the install a few months ago.could something be wrong?I wired it up correctly according to the pics and instructions.

Install on 2.4l engine...
Alright, this is a general How To on installing the Shift plus, let's start out with the materials you should receive in the package...
Shift plus controller unit
Velcro square
2 scotchloc connectors (4 pieces)
Zip ties
Quick run through if you've never used these scotchloc connectors, here are close ups so you can see how they work...

Now let's say the zip tie is the wire you are splicing into, and you can also see the RED wire coming from the shift plus going into the connector, this is how it all comes together...
First thing's first, find a place to mount the Shift Plus unit inside your cav. I used the velcro and applied it under the steering column. Just make sure you run the wire where it's circled in the pic so they're not hanging down near your feet or something...
Next you have to run the Shift Plus wire through the firewall, shown here...
Okay, understand so far? Now here is where the wires you will be splicing into are located on the 2.4L motor...
Now you will be splicing the RED wire from the Shift Plus unit into the Red wire w/Black stripe and the BLACK wire from the Shift Plus into the Light blue w/ White stripe.
Here's a close up of mine, it's probly not the cleanest way of doing it but it worked for me. You shouldn't have to precut the wires on the motor, the splicing connectors should tap right in once they are closed. Of course when you are done, use the zip ties and clean up any loose wires either in the engine bay or under the dash and be sure to use electrical tape and wrap the splicing connectors to avoid corrosion as much as possible...
Now get out there and give it a test run
Isnt that the wrong red wire? i thought it was the red wire UNDER the light blue wire. I have mine installed with the red under the light blue and it works fine..
....idk....it works fine for me tho...

...anybody know the difference?
