I hope the engine bay looks good. I want to do a different color scheme in the engine bay, but still want it to flow with the Cayenne Red, though I am still unsure what that will be.
Not much progress lately as I had some unexpected expenses come up lately. My ported cylinder head is brand new, but it was assembled in 2004 so I am going to replace the valve seals when I upgrade the valve springs and retainers. My SCE Titan headgasket finally arrived ( .043" thick with coolant seals ). Fetter has my Hahn 16g turbo so he can make a log manifold and downpipe
I do have an unpainted W41 IDI cover coming, but I think I would rather use the carbon fiber cover.

Does that head gasket require a re torque? I recall hearing rumor of a SCE headgasket that did not need a retorque.
beard man - there are.. well, at least i THINK they are still around threads on the XXXX XXXXXXX tie rods floating around somewhere's. unless a mod deleted them they should still be here. use the search NOOB!
jason, can you confirm on clyde's question? im curious as well. also curious on sce's "this head gasket can be used on any quad 4 or twin cam engine with any head combination" statements too...

I need my STD coilovers first
Then again, I have not driven the Cav in 2 years so far, so I doubt I will remember what it handled like before

SCE told me that I still need to retorque after 1 heat cycle. I need to see a LD9 and Quad gasket to see what the differences are. I know for sure that this gasket covers a couple of the coolant ports on the 2.3 head

I bought myself something for Christmas.....Merry Christmas to me,
I am not trying to keep up with others as far as HP, but I am debating on whether I should upgrade to -8an feed line when I install this pump

I have one of those harnesses somewhere. Was thinking of trying to use it with my stock pump. Not a concern anymore though.
Nice personal gift.
That relay harness looks great! I haven't seen the racetronic one before.
"Oil Leak ? What oil Leak ? Oh, Thats Just The Sweat From All The HorsePower!!"
Depending on power level, if you upgrade from stock fuel lines the racetronic will not be able to keep up fuel pressure by it's self.

did you get the w or the f body pump

Looks like fbody since it has the red sleeve.

I am thinking around 300-350 is where I want to be eventually.

It is the F-body pump. I was going to get the W-body pump and harness, but I found this for sale in the classifieds a little bit cheaper

Well that power range can be had on stock fuel lines.
If you upgrade from front to back, you might have a fuel pressure issue.

love this build, ur taking ur time and ur in no hurry, just like me.
Yep...I am upgrading the wiring where I can.
Actually I am not taking my time by choice. There has been several issues along the way that has slowed this down. I have a small list of parts I am waiting on, and I need one more part before I can drop off parts to get powder coated ( before I change my mind on colors.....again )
I hope ( fingers crossed ) that I can drive the Cav this summer

Since I am selling the Mantapart sports valve springs, it would be a good idea to take them off the cylinder head : D
The cylinder head is ported and polished by Malden Machine in Boston to John Mackleer's specs ( identical to what he is using ), Mantapart stainless steel valves ( stock size, 3 angle valve job ) and Mantapart sports valve springs
I pretty much have had this cylinder head on and off since 2004 and never used it, but a friend suggested that I replace the valve seals before I install the valve springs and retainers. Out come the valve springs....
