225/50r16's are undersized as well, which is what makes them awesome, haha.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
225/50/r16s and 205/55/r16s are almost the exact same size.
205/55/r16 has a tire diameter of 631.9 mm.
255/50/r16 has a tire diameter of 631.4 mm.
Tire wear has more variation in size than 0.016" difference.
205/55 are lighter than the 225/50 though.....

Man they aren't much smaller on paper are they...
Side by side with my 205-55r16's they were noticeably shorter, but that might have been the all season vs Falken Azenis tread.

So trans is slipping like a mother @!#$ going into third........ Fluid is well not pretty. So I guess I need a trans cooler, and change my fluid before I head back to the track.
Hopefully it is just the fluid, and third didn't take a crap. It does have 125,000 on it....
Yep, lost by a red light with -0.0005 under last night. FML

haha g'damn red lights.
I choose the technology built for land speed records... not the technology built to save on emissions and gas mileage.
Holy cow... 16 sec 1/4 in a z. I didn't think they were that slow stock.

Stock auto is 16.4. My best is 15.4. These runs are with the trans not shifting into third...It made baby Jesus cry. buahahah
I should be having the trans fluid changed later this month and a bigger external trans cooler put on. Hope to be in the low 15s again. Car feels great in 1st and 2nd gear.

lol stock auto might run 16.4 at sea level. mine has nearly as much power as yours and feels like a 17 second car to me...

The trans cooler I should be picking up is a "TCI Auto P/N 823200 - TCI Performance Transmission Cooler."
Just need to figure out my lines. Either modify my new stock replacement lines or just go full SS braided. Thoughts?

And the reason I'm getting very little done lately. Been working on finishing the dads Model T Hotrod.
Yesterday was it first start up....you can not tell from the dads lack of any emotion. lol

Finally swapped to my none cracked dash!
Also, installed my auto under dash panel and removed my manual cover.

Looking good Mike, I gottta say no wonder these panels crack, thats one big chunk of plastic attached to almost every prone to vibration part of the dash.
Also, had the transmission completely flushed. It is shifting like a champ again. Drove it around most of yesterday in stop and go, freeway, and back roads. Not one hiccup at all. Trans temp never got above 200 degree F. 160-180 normally=perfect.
I also walked through / tuned Brad's "zYaaaa" trans settings. Seems to be working out great for him as well.

I've gotta swap the red car's dash into my green car, the green car's is all cracked, because it's from SC, haha.

GM p/n 15042975 = 6
GM p/n 15063597 = 5...maybe
Maybe 11 hidden in the fender......or under something under window cowling...

Im digging the Quad 4 love.
Whats up with that bracket near the alternator?
IIRC that bracket is a BITCH! Not too sure but I dont think my GTZ has that bracket. I know the LG0 I pulled from the JY did have it....and it sucks to remove.
GMR has got nothing on this
