I know this was a personal insult, but shut up. I'm trying to actually accomplish something with this thread. Be the bigger man and shrug it off. You're personal financial situation is none of anybody's business on this forum. I'm sure that os personal information to which no one on this board has access.

brah,

i;ve heard alot of this and that over the months and dont know in full whats true..... i wasnt there when the stuff i heard went down, so i cant say...

few things i can tell ya to try and accomplsh....

1) switchboard.com if you need to look up someones home phone and or address to reach em....

2) call up to RSM and see if the order was placed, which you plan to do....

3) find the post with daubers cell number in it... i think it was locked a few weeks or months back, however not sure if locked posts get deleted or stay around.

in closing i will say this... i;ve talked to and met the highrev peoples, karo, and even jim (gravana) by email.... and none seemed to be shady. all were professional even. so me personally i never had a problem with em, however with your current issue, seems something is amiss and i cant say if someone turned heel over time, became complacent or whatnot.... so...g'luck on it, but def use as many resources as you can. and once you do get in contact, keep in constant contact.

I left dauber a message on his cell last week. I never got a return call. I'll continue to persue this matter to it's end, but I'm a pessamist when all is said and done. Thank you for the resources and support. I'll use them as far as I can. I hate to see this. HighRev had a good following that supported them for many years. If they could pull a comeback, I'll still buy from them. At this point, I don't see it happening.

I hope it works out as well. I have faith in man, but we all come up short and make mistakes in life. It's how we correct them that shows our character.

Xavier Canon,

Did you pay with credit card? Call your bank and file a fraud report with the proper channels.

It was a debit card, my first mistake. When I talked to my bank, their reply was "you authorized this transaction. There is little we can do." This was at a branch location. I'm going to contact the main office for more indepth info. It's a Visa debit card and was used as such. I should be covered, but I will apparently have to take other avenues of action. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I should know more tomorrow.

I've had to do one charge back on my debit card (visa logo) and my credit union gave me no problems. I even received the product but it was grossly mistated and broke on arrival.
Being that you haven't even received your product they shouldn't give you any hassles.

unless your bank is freaked up , go into the bank it self not on the phone , and tell them whats going on , most will listen , have you fill out some paper work , and they will send it on , then you have to add any more info to it , and 99% of the time you get your money back

calling rsm isnt a bad idea , but if the order from high rev didnt get there im not sure what to tell ya , other than what youd already know

Don't blame everyone else because you didnt take the time to do your homework about a part whether its right for you.

I see the lazyness everyday at my job, its not High Rev's job to inform you if your too stupid to know the difference between 2 completely different motors. BTW they dont have a warehouse, if you were ever actually there you might know that. Your point is worthless why don't you go work at McDonalds so the world can walk all over you while you tolerate stupidity to no end.

Again, MORON, we are talking about people placing ORDERS, having their CARDS CHARGED, then not sending the parts and NOT returning phone calls or emails inquiring where these PAID FOR PARTS ARE...

Somehow you don't have the intelligence enough to figure that out in this thread....

Matt,
Since you are such good friends with them, the next time you talk to them, you should let them be aware of the situation they have gotten themselves in. Even if they dont plan to get into this business again, they need to finish what they started. End of subject; its not fair and its not legal what they are doing. If they plan on starting a new life in VA, then they need to clean up the mess they made before they can do that. Do you really think any bank is going to give them a loan for a house with this stuff pending? If they apply for certain jobs, their credit history can be pulled. So as their friend, dont you think you should let them be aware of what is going on?

And as for the bickering between you and Jim, STFU. Leave that stuff in JBO chat.

Jay,

Your first mistake was thinking that I believe Matt, I was told BEFORE Matt what supposedly is going on which NO ONE HAS YET TO POST ABOUT.

And your second mistake was making assumptions about my post...

All I can say is that I just found out about them closing today and that I am glad I ordered my ALT pulley directly from RSM about a month and a half ago. When I ordered it they didn't quite have them ready yet. After I placed the order I got it in about 3 weeks. A week and a half of that time it was back ordered. I did like RSM but their customer service went to @!#$e. After I waited so long for my crank pulley I decided never to order from them again. I waited over 4 months for it. And at that time I was gonna order my sway bars from them. I'm glad I ordered them from Karo. It only took about a week. And HIS customer service is great. He promptly emailed me when I had a question mainly concerning my billing and shipping address. I didn't ask if a sway bar kit for a Cavy would fit on a Yugo. Or if a 2.2 head would work with a 3.8L. There's many great arguements here. I did like the company but they got in over their heads. Their customer service was alright to begin with then you couldn't get a hold of them by no means unless you actually drove there I guess. I have their K brace which I love. Rodimus must have been one of the few lucky ones. And I'll agree J owners in general ARE CHEAPOS!! If I ever wanted anything and didn't have the money for it I would save up for it. I would find the cheapest price possible. Then save for that price. And my thought is that if you don't want to pay a certain price for something and it's one of the better prices available, then you must not really want the item. Yeah my Bill's header might have been expensive but you get what you pay for. I'm not gonna argue with the people who have Pacesetter. I just have a personal bias towards them because the cat back system my wife had on her Geo rusted out in less than a year. How much is pace setter's ceramic coated muffler? Something like $300 right well add a $200 Magnaflow muffler to that plus the flex pipe and you might have about $600 invested. so I paid $180 more. Oh well. there's my 50 cents

nothing personal, but 300$ on a geo catback.....

200$ for a muffler?!

totaling 500$, and then nearing 600$ total with flex pipe? 100$ flex pipe?

cat back shouldnt cost more than 150 maybe 180.... muffler should be under 100 or right over it but under 140, and thats if you get raped by the cash gorilla.....

flex pipe no more than 25$

if you pay more than 350 for a catback with a maganaflow muffler and a flex pipe.....then you simply didnt bother looking around or shopping around.

i rest my case on this one....

true you get what you pay for most times, but anal rape overpaying is REALLY common when people dont bother to shop around

oops! I said ceramic coated muffler. I meant their ceramic coated header ($300 something??). I also meant Magnaflow cat and not muffler as well. ( I know I've seen magnaflow cats for about $200) but that was a while ago. I ahven't checked prices for their cats lately.

U guys should just suck it up and take the loss... it's your fault for ordering from a company that has a llama as it's customer support person. It can't pick up the phone guys, so stop calling... LOL

See the llama? Live support not available. They ran outta cash so they ate the llama... they are hungry again and are coming for your cash...

On a serious note: I hope all affected will get a full refund. I've been jipped before, and it sucks. Good luck!
