Regardless what engine is in the car it still began life as a Z24 so it will remain a Z24.
Well in my eyes those motors sucked in a J. The LD9 is faster stock for stock on all of those.

update: Motor is out, bay is being cleaned and degreased and touched up a bit. Drew and Ryan went for a few supplies, beer, food, and a bit for the dremel.
Old short block is for sale, cylinder walls have zero damage, could replace the pistons and have a fine bottom end, or just the 1 piston. 75$
