F-em ......

Dont get me wrong.... a properly modded Eclipse can be amazing..... but the problem is finding one. Most of them around here belong to people that dont know how to mod cars the right way.
I swear.... most of them around here where faster when they where stock LOL

the community is going to get smaller as people crash j's and sell them off and more end up in scrap yards it is defiantely going to get smaller

but in the same respect there is going to be a lot tighter of a community more meets will happen, it will be reduced to die hards which will only be good for the community

the threads of 'how much hp will i get from ebay' will be gone and you will see more of the '10 second drag pass' and '250hp ln2 all motor' threads as people play and experiment more with the chassis and engine

thats very true, and I wish it'd come sooner so the true blue's can come out... but as far as experimenting goes, I think its all been done before at this point. the time of fine-tuning boost and spray is at-hand and I think thats where it'll stay... until more parts come out to play with, but we all know that the LD9 has seen its run of parts.. and the L61 Ecotec isnt too far behind it

haven't read all 4 pages but i think j-body.org itself could use an overhaul. newer forum styles, faster to navigate... re-organize all the forum stickies, faqs and how-tos.

This forum is laid out light years better than most I've seen, that's one thing Dave concentrated on is the overall usability of the site.

everyone talking about people need to realize that the j platform is dead is really starting to bother me. The J platform might be dead but I can name at least 10 active forums (this being one of them) that support the J body platform and they aren't dying. more and more people are buying used j's or reviving the ones that they already own. The J body may not be manufactured anymore but that doesn't mean its dead. There are car people who (just like us, or any J owner site) rebuilding, reviving, revitalizing, remembering, cars that are out of production, like berettas, regals, firebirds, fieros, old vw beetles, the chrysler K car platform, ETC. J bodys arent dying. they live in each and every person who owns, or owns a memory of them, and they arent going anywhere. Just because the cars arent produced, doesnt mean a site still cant be maintained. We shouldnt be ready to just say "The car has been gone for four years already, just deal with how things are and let it die... "
Obviously we have cavaliers for a reason. We love them. Keep it that way, and make others want to be the same way. The more people we keep wanting their cav, the more that will stay on the road. Don't shun anyone because our cars are no longer made. All GM cars might have that fate soon and then what will you say?

So were nike air forces but everyone wanted them, and they made it back to production.

Look, if your going to discourage J's , dont drive one.

Come on man I'm trying to prove a point not to discourage anyone. Look you obviously have spent much more time on your J then most, so please be mature about it and give me a break.

Re: What happened to the JBO??

and were trying to prove a point as well. that the platform is dying down, if you have been on this site for the last several years and look at the foot traffic its easy to see that it has slowed down tremendously because they arn't producing the cars anymore. people are moving on. their not speacial cars. or some seclusive type of car that become cult hits. it is what it is. im sure there will be a few hardcore guys that will hang onto their j's for ever but the majority will move on. thats just the way it is. maybe in 30 years if there are still any around it will become popular and worth something, but most likely not.

This is probably why the site is dying down. Everyone here is a bunch of "haters". There are some die hard guys here who don't care that the platform is dead. And they stay here and put up with all of the "haters". This is why JBO gets bashed on all other J-body specific website, because of the haters.

another bad example since when chuck taylors came out they were the hottest shoes as well.

you guys kill me. it has nothing to do with being a HATER or any such nonsence. its just FACTS they dont make the car anymore so the platform is DEAD. nothing you can say will change that. are there diehard fans? yes will there still be guys rocking cavs in 10 years? sure. but they still wont be rolling off the assembly line so the platform still is dead.
