197,000 miles on my '96 2.2ohv and still going strong. tappets are starting to get noisy now.

i have 210,000 miles on my 1995 cavy 2.2 3speed auto. I drive 70+mph every day and have no problems.

i have 43,000 and sum on 2001 auto sunfire. <br>

I barely have 27k on my 01 Cavy. <br>

I got a 96 with a little over 150000 it think i really dont know? i replaced the stock one for a z24's so i can get a tach that was out of an auto so i think i got the only 96 with the a prindel buy anyways. I bought it with 127000 and put a head gasket on at 136000 water pump like 4 weeks ago new alternator timing chain tensionor and gears. No acc. belt, brake. The head gasket on the 2.2L almost all go its really common at about 100000+ also my trans grinds a little in to 3 (sincro i think) (its also the @!#$ izusu 5spd) I think the engine on mine will run for ever. I love to work on mine its not as hard as a toyota celica. and my clutch is starting to go so it might be time for a new car!

96 cavy 2.2 5 speed. 140,000 miles but i overheated it so i need a new headgasket and head. It probably would have lasted another 100,000. I beat the SH*T out of this motor from 108,000 to now and ive only replalced the water pump. I broke two trannys from burnouts otherwise theyd be good to. I burnt 9 sets of tires in 5 months so you know ive been hard on this car. Im gonna fix her and shell be good again. By the way whats with all these timing chain tensioners being replaced? Is that what cause that sh*tty tick that got real bad over the 35,000 miles i beat on it. My neighbor has a 4 door and shes old so i know she doesnt beat on it and it ticks worse than mine. I LOVE my slow *ss 2.2

i had a 98 with 193,000 miles on it, i beat the snot out of it everyday had an intake and an exhaust on it, sold it for $800 and the kid who bought it off of me is still drivin it around town here in syracuse..........not to mention its like winter 7 months out of the year here with heavy snow and salt on the roads.........your's should last u a good amount of time just keep up on the normal tune ups.

When i got rid of my 1996 it had 250,000 miles.

I had the tranny replaced twice
original engine ran like a charm

189,000 on my 1996 2.2 CAV. Original engine, original trans. Only repairs were clutch at 120,000, AC compressor at 80,000, and water pump at 90,000. Still runs great and is my daily beater.

just hit 128k miles. 99, 2200, 3 speed auto. bought it last june with 114k.

just had the thermostat, fan relay switch, and head gasket replaced. and in the process of figuring out where my damn power steering fluid is disappearing from.

99 Fire 5 spd. 76,000 only had a fan relay replaced and thats it along with regular suff like plugs and wires

i have 47,000 miles on my 2001 2.2L. The only problem i am having now is a very light knock when the engine is cold. it disappears when it warms up. can't figure out what is causing it.

i got 98,000 on my 97 sunfire. At 97000 the motor threw a rod, the new motor has like 70,000 miles.

right around 100,000 miles on my 97 2.2 OHV.......just replaced a leaky valve cover gasket

190,000 2.2ohv with a 5 speed

1998 with about 27,000 on orginal engine. bought it used from some old lady who never drove anywhere.

almost 49k miles on my 2000 4 spd auto. Nothing broke yet
