I for one, dont mind that front end. (For obvious reasons) But I think it needs a lip or and LS Sport Front Bumper altogether. the Base model front wont look proper if you have skirts and a Z Rear IMO. But since its painted now, doesn't that mean you have no excuse not to goto the bash?? lol.

Re: Project Phoenix
Sunday, July 20, 2008 7:42 AM
IMO I think you should still do something with the front... the whole reason I sold you the hood cause it looked like a bag of dicks on the GTC, base model bumpers and hood scoops don't mix

Re: Project Phoenix

wow. teh secks.

cant wait to see it at the bash!

How about 95-99 Z24 rear, Z sides, and possibly a LSS Front.

And Chris, I'm the one person you will NEVER get to say "I told you so."

what about a LS Sport front, IF sides, and LS Sport rear, Personally I don't think that the LS sport will work with the Z sides and rear. But you have been known to pull off things before.

I'm trying to pull off a look that no one has really tried to my knowledge. I've noticed that the base front sits slightly lower than the body, about as low as the Z sides do, so thats why I'm trying this. If I think it needs a lil more up front then LSS will be my choice for a front. This was the easy thing to do, total cost of body parts and paint to this point is $100, and that's doing a 03+ swap on the front, obtaining a base front, thanks anthony, and getting a Z rear. Still waiting on Chris to tell me he's got skirts for me, if I don't hear anything then I'm just gonna buy Brandon's next weekend, which will bring total cost up to $150.

Let me reiterate something really quick...IT'S MY CAR, IF I LIKE HOW IT LOOKS WITH THE BASE FRONT AND EVERYTHING THAT'S HOW IT STAYS!

Chris the blue car would have embarrased your 02. It put up a 14.1 with 9 to 10.5 afrs and a 3 sec 60 ft. Quit kidding yourself and acknowledge that there is NO WAY IN HELL that car would have been faster than mine. I put down the same hp and almost the same tq on half the boost I was running last fall. Yeah I did dyno the blue car right after I boosted it and on only 7psi I had that lil 205 whp and had 206 tq, that's only 7, when you would have had a crack at it it was anywhere between 11.5 to 14. Quit being stubborn, and acknowledge that you are wrong on this one. Your 02 would have been beaten by at least a half second by my blue car. The only time the blue car went to the track was to be able to abuse it and attempt to get the afrs closer than 10.2:1.

Live in denial all you want, I owned a m45 Z24, and I too broke into the 13's w/ it, a 13.8 to be precise, yes your 02 was faster than that, but not by much, the 04 would have dominated that car in every aspect. You really should see if you can get ahold of the guy that bought your 02 and I'll drop the boost down to a modest 9psi and we'll see what happens how's that sound for a good idea?

Supercharged ld9 < MY turbo eco...anyday.

Ok so we have hit a "bump" in the road. Enkei has decided to change the finish on the RSV's and I cannot seem to locate just one in the size and offset that I have so...

I'm looking at a new set of wheels. These are my 3 choices. All are very similar in style, the only real difference is the price. The motegi's are my first choice. We'll see what happens.

Re: Project Phoenix

1

I also say stay with the stock front, Z sides, Z rear just like you have it. No need to over-do it.

Re: Project Phoenix
Sunday, July 20, 2008 8:12 PM
The only thing about the first ones is what Chris said, if the center were black, that's why I'm favoring the 2nd ones.

And Joe I'm going to get a chance to see what she looks like w/ lss on the front soon enough, but I do agree because of the way the base sits lower than the body and Z sides don't come down all that far it will be plenty and she does look good from the front, I've got more pics that I took today just haven't uploaded them yet, laptop has been dead from working on the tune for a good portion of the afternoon, who would have guessed a sock on a walbro and a msd inline pump and I've got plenty of fuel for 21.8 psi, looks like it's time to up the boost .
