We don't need the bash for a showdown between your car and mine Chris. I'll be sure to get ahold of you next time I'm up, which I'm hoping will be soon...

I think you need to rephrase that. You're gonna miss out on all the fast eco's.

Paul messaged me today saying there's going to be 4-5 400 whp+ (in theory) LD9's at the bash. lol. I only say in theory cuz I have zero Dyno #'s to back up my built engine. We all know what it could and "should" do but that doesn't count for squat all so as far as I'm concerned he can pencil me in for 129 whp . lol

Good luck with the car Curt.

Re: Project Phoenix

The worst thing about the whole situation is had I not totally screwed up and wrecked the blue car, THAT car would have been at the bash. With all the money I've spent putting the white car together I would have easily been able to make the bash. Things happen for a reason though, had I not put the blue car to sleep, permanantly, then I would not have been hanging out w/ Tom all 4th weekend, would not have gotten the 255 fuel pump from Brian, and would not have pushed the boost to a new personal high at 21.8psi. None of these things wouldn't have happened so soon had I not wrecked the blue car.

Best thing is now I can bring back a car that actually represents me and what I'm all about. Yeah I like the showy flashy stuff, but it's not very funtionally when you have to go into literally every drive way sideways and slow as hell to keep from screwing up a body kit. I'll be so thankful just to have a base front bumper and stock style sideskirts on this car.

A week or so ago I said I was going to try and replicate the 04's appearance, since I've decided that maybe my old 96 would be the better choice. It was a white Z w/ oem c/f hood. Yeah the 01 has the invader and the 03+ headlights but overall is rather plain, and I really like that. That means no unnecessary attention from the officers of the law. The blue car was notorius for getting me pulled over randomly on a Friday or Saturday night. There were times when I knew the cops were out heavy I would leave early just to account for getting hassled on my way to dinner or a movie or where ever I was going.

Thanks guys for all the support and all the comments. It really does help knowing that I'm not the only one that appreciates the work that went into this swap. Thanks again to Tom and Anthony, I owe you guys. Anytime anywhere you need my help don't hesitate.

So what if I did...

No Camron and I painted all of it today. I did the painting he did the clear, evidently I don't do too well w/ the whole clear coat thing lol.

Actually come to think of it, I didn't do too good at the painting thing either, but at least Camron was here to tell me everything I was doing wrong lol.
