I'll give you some hints, PCmag, gearlog, and zdnet did some tests / reviews, and in 2 out of 3 tests the Apple hardware is beating the lenovo, dell, acer, etc hardware. on in the 1/3 test it is dead on head to head with the competition.

I said that because you said earlier about how much better Apple's processors are. Therefore(if your statement was correct) Apple is adding less powerful and less efficent processors. Why would they do that?! also you did say that microsoft was "stealing" high resolution icons, and I really think that isn't stealing, and yes it should have come out in win 98 as far as I'm concerned

For the Powermacs unfortunatly its going to take until June or so for them to come out with the new models that will be competing head to head with tower systems. I would anticipate a $500 - $1,000 price reduction.
It is rumored that the new PM motherboards will be standard BTX therefore replaceable and upgradable; we'll find out soon enough.

both systems have their uses. i use both daily. i prefer something other than windows, but i deal with it because i have to. if i had my druthers(and a bit more knowhow), i'd go with Linux and OSX...because again, both have their uses.

Cable, why are you so obsessed with making everyone think that MACs are better? If you think they are better, then use them. Why does it matter what anyone else uses?
Oh, and to test your "20 minutes a day" theory, I haven't ran a spyware scan, virus scan, or anything else in about 6 months on either of my PCs, and no reloads either. I ran them on both just now.
The results for both computers,
Zero viruses as scanned with two different scanners
Zero traces of Adware/spyware as scanned with Spybot, Adaware, and MS-Antispy
So ya, I would have to say that your "20 minutes a day" thing is slightly exaggerated.
Seriously, why not just accept that most people use PCs because that is what they are exposed to most often, that is what they are comfortable with, and most people just don't care enough about it to bother switching, all they want to do is check there e-mail, do a little web browsing, and get on with there day.

I find your 0 spyware infections in 6 months to either be false, or you failed to mention you hadnt actually used the comptuer in 6 months.
I say it because I deal with it everyday, from users of our online service, to customers of our retail location, EVERY SINGLE COMPTUER THAT COMES IN is infected up the wazoo, and 9 times out of 10 that is the ONLY thing actually wrong with the comptuer, we are charging these people between $30, and $120 depending on the depth of infection. We love taking their money, but there is a safer way to internet. and its NOT on any version of windows.
My family also runs a comptuer show thats held once a month in Flint, and its the same story there, everyone has spyware, and everyone that knows better is trying linux, or other 'alternative' oses.
The only thing to hope for is that Vista gets it right. - I dont hold any biases against windows, as soon as they get the virus / spyware problem fixed I will be all about it.

I didn't ask you to believe it, frankly I don't care if you do.
You strike me as a slightly ignorant person, and I don't mean you are an @ss, I mean you are just uneducated about the subject and just don't know as much about IT as you think you do, that's all. The average tech today, is really not a tech at all. Although you may think you are, I can tell you are nothing more then an above average, self taught end-user. I used to deal with people like you everyday, and that's the reason I am not in IT anymore. Too many people think that being able to clean viruses and spyware makes you a computer tech, I just couldn't take it anymore.
Anyhow, as said before, if you like MACs, then use them. Why do you have to try and tell people that don't want to use them that they should, and then wonder why people get upset with you.
What you need to do from now in is STOP THINK, TYPE, then POST. Not just type and post.

No, I am a real tech, Hardware tech, software tech, network tech, Systems Admin etc..
I am responsible for thousands of network users, circuit maintence, etc..
there are alot of people that ARE what you think I am, but I am not one of them.. I truely know more about hardware specifics than anyone I know.
I got my A+ certification in like 1998.. not that that means anything.
yes spyware is real, and yes 99 out of 100 spyware removal programs are a joke, and some are even spyware in and of themselves. but there are a couple legitimate ones from trusted organizations.
MS is to the point where they suggest wiping and reinstalling in a severe infection, (see recent news story where a government organization after weeks of talks with MS was told by MS their best solution was to wipe every one of their 1000's of machines in order to get rid of the spyware)
and no being able to remove spyware does not make you a tech, being able to COMPLETELY remove spyware from a heavily infected machine wihtout having to reinstall windows makes you a good tech.
Spyware didnt really exist until about 3 years ago; I have been working on machines well before then.
Ask me anything.... and I mean anything about any hardware, software or networking issue you can think of and I will either have a solution or be able to point you in the right direction. - I am here to help.
As a (certified in many areas) technician, I would like to remind other "techs" out there that you only see problems. If 9 of 10 machines coming in are loaded with spyware and virusses then you customer base needs an education. In our business (delivering up to 400 machines a month with 3 years warranties) I can assure you that the levels of infection are on the decline and near neglagible in office environments. Yes, rougue employees have caused problems in the past and will continue to in the future BUT the vast majority of infections are coming from home users who access porn or "crack" sites. The software piracy related sites are by far the worst places for delivery viruses. UNeducated users end up in big trouble from visiting those sites.
Ask you anything eh? Tell me what you know about carrier attenuation. The difference between stateful and non-stateful packet searches. What the signifigance of "red" lines vs. "Black" lines are. Heck, if you are like most "techs" you don't even know what MTU means. Not saying that's the case for you, but if you answer those questions, I'll start believing you. After 15 years in this game (as a Electronics engineer, Robotics technician, Systems anylist and Certified networking technician) I have become skepticle of 99% of the "techs" out there.
When it comes to hardware.. If I was talking about Honeywell PCM45F material and PWM, what am I talking about?

Unfortunettly alot of techs out there are like that. They know nothing. I dont know everything ill admit it. But i know my way around pretty damn well. Theres just to many "techs" that feel that sence they know how to install office on there parents PC that they are a tech. And how hard could it be they think...untill they are stareing at a pile of parts and have no idea how to put them back together. Walk into a highschool computer class sometime. Those kids think they are gods gift to computers because they have taken one class and can build a computer with supervision..
And seriously how can you not know MTU wether your a tech or not...its used in most industrys
