Vulcan Turbo, LLC wrote:Hmm ill have to think something out for a gasket, would a copper gasket be reasonable?
I don't see why not. The softer the better though. As you know you can only use the intake bolts to squish it so much since they are small and thread into an aluminum head.

See what you can do cause I am NOT using RTV to make an intake gasket!
Copper RTV actually holds up very well.
I got the throttle body, just kinda have this project on hold right now, awaiting more funding and waiting for my flanges to arrive.

This would be my fault. Who would have thought noone is interested in a supercharger kit with 2 superchargers plus parts and a tune.

hahaha.. if there M45s try selling them to those 2200 guys that want me to make up a manifold for them next!
how the hell would you make a manifold for a 2200 to accomodate the GM MP45 supercharger that's integrated into the LD9 manifold lol

@turboalero
that is a good question. hmmm.
I got this from the SS forums. I don't want to assume that stock boost will be the same from an LSJ on an LD9 because of the different size crank pulley
For Increases in Boost over the Factory (3.50" Outer Diameter) - Actual 3.35" size, the following pulleys sizes are calculated to increase boost levels above stock 12 psi:
- For a 1 to 1.5 lb. Increase in Boost over the Factory 3.35", use the 3.25" SC Pulley System
- For a 2 to 2.5 lb. Increase in Boost over the Factory 3.35", use the 3.10" SC Pulley System
- For a 3 to 3.5 lb. Increase in Boost over the Factory 3.35", use the 3.00" SC Pulley System
- For a 4 to 4.5 lb. Increase in Boost over the Factory 3.35", use the 2.90" SC Pulley System
- For a 5 to 6 lb. Increase in Boost over the Factory 3.35", use the 2.80" SC Pulley System

Chris,
Craig was referring to the motor in my Cav now with the spun rod bearing. It would make a nice paper weight right about now

Just letting you guys know i got the steel flanges in for mocking up the supercharger manifold and building the jig... ill be pulling in the car tonight or tomorrow and starting on the prototype manifold, once thats done ill be making the aluminum manifolds.
A little bit of update here... our aluminum flange provider will be cutting a grove into the head flange to allow for the use of O-rings to seal the ports. Im holding off on ordering the flanges since there is a minimum order amount, waiting on more buyers hopefully!
Thanks for the update. Hopefully some more buyers will come forward.
