The constant CEL light from not having the EGR when I was running the 2.3 LO intake manifold was driving me up the wall and the main reason I went back to the stock setup. It was hjust a thought.

just take the light bulb out... haha jk, i think ill be making an option for a drilled and tapped EGR hole that will allow for an EGR to still be run.

TURN OFF THE CODE WITH HPT, AS YOU WILL NEED A TUNE ANYWAYS?***** (for you 97 up boys)

Swap to a 95 OBD-1 ECM to allow for tuning!*****

i normally do not like taking off stock parts the factory designed the car to run with...but in the EGR's case.. you do not need it. the car runs just fine without it.

i had the code turned off via HPT on my car and never looked back. its a pain in the ARSE to work around and on. those stupid alan head bolts are a nightmare to get out.

good f'ing riddance.

Personally I prefer to keep my emission equipment working now, some people here go to yelling when a catalytic converter is removed but drive cars with emission equipment removed? Not saying you do or accusing you of anything, but I prefer to stay legal as much as possible and as many places as possible. I simply asked a question directed towards those interested in making the manifold for us. If he said no I can simply modify it to do what I want it to do, I don't chose to do what everyone else does. I don't want to argue and fight in someone else's post for the sake of this one is actually good and will hopefully happen.

Thanks Vulcan for considering it, and if the interest is there I personally wouldn't worry about. I was just seeing if it would be considered and hopefully stirring up some interest. Good luck with it and hope to see it go through and to purchase one.

You do know right?

Natural EGR effect of valve overlap and head design, in and of itself gets rid of NOX.

What is the supercharger coming off of that will be used with this setup?

I believe the supercharger that is coming to you is an M62 unit from a Cobalt SS

10-4, thats what i thought, just wanted to make sure that was what it was coming from seeing the M62 appears to have been available on several different makes of cars but appear to be different.

OK, since this project may actually happen it is time to think about the small things. Does anyone know if I am able to use an Ecotec throttle body on my LD9??? The LSJ supercharger is already tapped for one and it would be easier to swap to that than to drill and tap new holes, or use a make a spacer

I would have to say no on the throttle body since they use an electronically controlled system, and the LD9 uses a cable throttle body.... Seems i may need to make an adapter for the throttle body to fit on... anyone else wanna quick jump in before a final price is set? I will honor our pre-production price as well regardless of what is needed to make the setup work including the adapter it sounds like ill have to produce.

I don't think you will have to make a spacer. I was thinking of using a throttle body from an 02-05 Ecotec which are still cable driven. Then I could have it bored out to match the size of the SC inlet.

Indeed is is from a Saturn Ion redline. Correct me if I am wrong but I think the m62 from the cobaltt SS, Ion redline, and the GM performance parts one for the 03-05 ecotec are all the exact same unit,

As for the throttle body I do not have a 03-05 ecotec jbody one but I am almost sure those are cable driven. So I would think the 03-05 jbody one would work. The Cobalt SS I am driving now I know for sure does not have a cable as mentioned above.

Vulcan I am talking to all the stragglers who might be interested but don't frequent the forum to see if they are interested.

awesome, the more we can pool together to buy one the better! I ordered a very very large sheet of aluminum which should be able to make quiet a few of these manifolds, its the only way to make it profitable in the long run. I have a few ideas already brewing in my head how this will be done so i cant wait to get started.

the m62 supercharger is not tapped for an L61 throttle body (03-05 sunfire/cavalier or 02 cavalier ls sports). you do need an adapter plate which currently isn't available to purchase through gm or aftermarket, yet. see thread

Well I finally understand what this adapter plate crap is all about. It seems you only get it with the GM kit and those who peice together a sc kit fro the balt or ion have to make their own since GM does not sell it by itself. I was thinking this whole time that the 03-05tb just bolted right onto the sc as there is no adapter plate needed for the 2.4 kit. As you can tell I am not a big eco expert.

However I think we would be best off to use the jbody 2.2 eco tb and plate. Are we in aggreement on this? The eco comes with a 60mm tb stock and that is bigger than my 58mm bored 2.4. So I could care less about keeping my 2.4tb. I can just sell it in the classifieds.

If you check the thread s1lver N1p posted I mentioned that Mike and Vulcan should get together and see what they can do to make this happen

i'll give u the benefit of the doubt Wade for not doing your research. haha. you m45 lover. i believe stock tb on eco is 59mm but can have SMG bore it to 62 mm.
