Hmmm, wow i completely forgot there is actually is a 2.4L cavalier sitting in my parking lot right now i have free access too. However it was not the one that was planned to come down for turboing. Well... now all i need is a supercharger to use for mock up and 2 buyers!

Im only looking for two buyers to get the project funded appropriately to make the R&D worth while. Once made all the dimensions and blueprints are kept for future reference and can be made over and over.

Larry,

Here is the post with the signup list

Ok sounds fair to me.

So who is seriously able to to pony up here? I know I can who else?

I can put a deposit down, but won't be able to pay for it all until my M45 setup sells. I am waiting on a couple pieces before I can post it

I think Wade was working on getting his supercharger back to lend to Vulcan

That works out perfect! The sooner it can ship the better. If you would like to put a deposit down as well that works. Are Wade Jarvis and Blwn LD9 ready to pay to get the project started once a supercharger arrives?

I am doing an FMIC version on my own; going to take measurements of important dimensions on the supercharger to use and then ship er off to you to make the non-intercooled manifold for the general public.

Thanks! I think i could fab you up an intake as well that the charger mounts too but runs out of a 2.5" pipe, then put a smaller manifold/collector under it for the cylinders with a 2.5" pipe running into that. Kinda hard to explain what im thinking but basically an intake manifold for the charger to mount to but doesnt run the air into the runners... allows for it to be piped to an i/c first.

So for the version Vulcan is going to make, this will be non-intercooled? Will A/C still be able to be used on the car? Compressor and lines won't have to move? Will anything else have to be changed/modified?

Im planning for it to sit in there with the a/c not needing to be modified but it really all depends on how it goes down once i get to installing it and test fitting.

Okay, that's what I needed to know. I can't guarantee that I'll get one until that issue is worked out.

Hmm.. that's what I'm looking into doing. Some sketches and such are over in the 11-12 page "LD9 intake manifold for the m62 supercharger" thread.

What would we be looking at for such an intake manifold with a supercharger outlet plenum design?

Probably something around $1100-$1400? Its mostly custom so its hard to keep pricing down.

I got a question for ya, are ya'll going to try to design it so you can keep the factory EGR valve? That would make my decision for me, but it may be a litte too hard.

I don't know if you are aware of this but the 2000's and up do not have an EGR valve. As for you I would just use a 00+ exhaust gasket to block it off and remove it. I really do not think it should be a deciding factor in whether you go for this or not since it is in my humble opinion a very minor issue.

Vulcan I am still in on this and can pay you whenever.
