messed it up a few engines ago.. i think it has bent valves but I haven't investigated too far yet.

planning on buying a whole new GMR head to replace it. better flow, better valvetrain

hey PJ, i got the same master cylinder for my setup. how much would you charge me for you to make me a brake booster/master cylinder adapter and also pushrod like the ones that you fabbed for yours. im really very interested and also very pleased with how yours came out looking.

i also wonder how this setup will work on the street.

if you could do that really big favor for me and let me know a price it would be much appreciated

stock head and cams?! hmmmm.... i dont know about hitting 13's with THIS engine, would be extremely cool though.

by putting the L61 head on the LSJ block does it increase compression at all?

Bonnet-
I could fab one up for you, we could talk about price but bear this in mind: a car with 4 wheel disc pretty much absolutely NEEDS a power booster in order to let the driver be physically able to push the brake pedal. So with your rear disc conversion and the larger brakes upfront, I'm not sure how it will behave.. I'm still unsure how it will behave on the skwirl's brakes, but I intend on never plus sizing them anyway since I want the ability to run a 15" wheel.

Here's today's update:

I finished up some final loose ends on the engine... everything is buttoned up and ready to go... and I mean everything. the only thing left is to fill it with fluids.

After some comparison and contrast, I decided to run the 2007 cobalt 2.2 thermostat housing I scored on ebay. This will let me run the oil cooler (which may come in handy)

I also figured out how I would run the coolant hoses, and what to plumb to where. It was actually pretty simple and once I confirm that this functions correctly I'll be sure to post up a diagram.

I'm also running the power steering block off plate from the LSJ because I will have re-located the power steering pump to the air conditioner compressors location by the time the engine goes in the skwirl. the bracket is almost complete, I just have to order a power steering pump with NPT/-AN fittings on it already so I can run nice, clean braided lines.

a shot of the exhaust side of the engine...

I was curious and did a bit of mock-up

..I was just curious really lol.

and because I was bored here's 2 shots of the skwirl's new headlights.

I'm also going to be putting silver fenders back on so the only part of the car that will be black is the front bumper which will be getting painted soon.

thanx PJ, but im not going to convert the rear drums to discs anymore, im either just going to upgrade the stock rotors in the front or just do a front 13" wilwood upgrade. so im thinkin this master cylinder should work fine. just let me know on a price and everything.

engine looks amazing, we are sort of doing a reverse, your doing lsj bottom end with l61 head while im doing l61 bottom with lsj head. im just wondering how wild of a port job can be done on the lsj head
