Looking great, love the look.
I will be dropping a trailing arm too, perhaps I will go the junkyard route as well.
Sounds like a lot of trailing arms will be falling out for good reasons due to jeffie.

Go to GM and get a trailblazer rear tie bar. It's about 20 bux and is a direct bolt on if you have an eibach rear sway bar.
Interesting. I'll have to look into this further.

That is all the way down. This year, I'm not going for super low, I'm going for performance. That's why I dumped the ground controls and went with the Teins.
To anyone trying to de-power their power steering rack, the write up is from FlyingMiata, which is what I believe Darren used as a guide for his.
Obviously not going to be identical process, but a rack and pinion steering rack, is a rack and pinion steering rack....

Thats what we loosely followed. Like Newt said, same idea, just a little different in terms of dissassembly and re-assembly.
Right now it's a little annoying pulling into my spot, but we still have a lot of adjustment to be done.
And how can the tie bar have a negative effect?
Something about changing the camber and/ or toe when one wheel is raised or lowered.

There was a huge thread about it. Any time you hit a decent bump it will cause toe out and some camber. Not the good kind that keeps you in the turn either.
Love love love the new wheels!
And kudos for keepin' your head up and continuing on with the build!

Still not low enough for a signature.
Thanks guys, Im really happy with how its turning out.
And Adam, the car was on a weird angle in those pics, take a look at the front on this side.
Such a quality build, very nice work! Last year I was all set to buy a tie bar but I also heard that there are negative effects to the handling when installed. Since yours is working out for you, maybe I will look at purchasing one again!
Great progress!!! Looks hawt!
Rims fit it perfect.

Teins are funny, I have one set that only has 4 threads left and the car is not any lower than the other car that has about 10 threads left.
You can get springs that are shorter for the rear, who knows? Maybe I will snag up a set, but its the least of my worries now.
What year ebrake cables are you running with our SSBCs?

I love this car. The new look is sexy as hell. I have to ask you what rims are those? I have been looking for a rim with that exact profile, but haven't had any luck finding any. Also, what size are they?
